División de Honor (chess) 2010
The División de Honor (chess) 2010 was the 16th season of the División de Honor and at the same time the 54th Spanish team championship in chess , it was played with ten teams. The champions were the team from CA Escuela Int. Kasparov-Marcote Mondariz, who prevailed against defending champion CA Linex-Magic Mérida in the final. Sestao Naturgas Energia XT and CE Barberà were promoted from the Primera División. While Sestao achieved relegation, Barberà had to relegate together with CA Mérida Patrimonio-Ajoblanco, SCC Sabadell and UGA Barcelona.

mode
The ten participating teams played four rounds in the Swiss system in the preliminary round . The four first placed qualified for the finals, while the remaining teams contested the relegation play-off. The game was played on six boards, the placement was first determined by the number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat) and then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point) for a draw, no point for a loss). The final round was played in the knockout system , with third place also being played out. In the relegation play-off, the seventh of the preliminary round played against the tenth and the eighth against the ninth in the first round. The winners played in the second round against the fifth and sixth of the preliminary round. The losers of both rounds were relegated to the Primera División.

The tournament was played in Sestao from August 23-28 .
