División de Honor (Chess) 2018
The División de Honor 2018 was the 24th season of the División de Honor and at the same time the 62nd Spanish team championship in chess . It was held with eight teams. Champion became the defending champion Sestao Bizkaialde. Magic Extremadura and Oromana Schneider Electric were promoted from the Primera División. While Extremadura achieved relegation, Oromana Schneider Electric had to relegate directly. In purely sporting terms, Jaime Casa Monzon would also have been relegated, but since Sestao Bizkaialde and Ajoblanco Extremadura withdrew their teams, Jaime Casa Monzon stayed in the class, and three teams from the Primera División were promoted for the coming season.

mode
The eight participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The game was played on six boards, with at least one woman having to be used. The number of team points (two points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat) and then the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point) decided the placement for defeat). The last two were relegated to the Primera División.
Dates and venue
The tournament was played in Linares from August 6th to 12th .
