Primera División (chess) 1982
The Primera División (chess) 1982 was the top division of the 26th Spanish team championship in chess and was played with ten teams. Champion was the defending champion CE Vulcà Barcelona, from the Segunda División CA Nifsa Las Palmas and CA Michelin Valladolid were promoted. While Las Palmas achieved relegation, Valladolid rose together with CE Terrassa directly again.

mode
The ten participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament , the last two were relegated and replaced by the first two of the Segunda División. The game was played on four boards, the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of team points (two points for a win, one point) decided the placement for a tie, no point for a loss).

The tournament was held in Benidorm .
Season course
CE Vulcà Barcelona, UGA Barcelona and CA Peña Rey Ardid Bilbao fought a three-way battle for the title, which CE Vulcà Barcelona narrowly won. CA Michelin Valladolid was practically relegated before the last round, while the decision on the second relegation place was made in the final round against CE Terrassa.
