The Spanish team championship in chess in 1992 was the 36th edition of this competition and was held with 26 teams. Champion became the defending champion UGA Barcelona.

The 26 participating teams played nine rounds in the Swiss system , the first five qualified directly for the final round of the Spanish team championship in 1993. The game was played on four boards, the placement was determined by the number of board points (one point for a win, half a point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the Buchholz score (sum of the board points achieved by the opponents).
