Anna Athanasiadou

Anna Athanasiadou (born February 13, 1981 ) is a Greek weightlifter .

Career

Athanasiadou reached eleventh place in the class up to 53 kg at the European Championships 2005 . In 2006 she was eighth in the snatch at the European Championships , but had no valid attempt in pushing. Even at the European Championships in 2007 she did not succeed. In the same year she took part for the first time in the World Championships , where she was twelfth. During a training check in 2008, Athanasiadou and ten other members of the Greek national team tested positive and then banned for two years. After her suspension, she reached tenth place in the class up to 48 kg at the 2011 European Championships . At the Mediterranean Games in 2013 , she was fifth in the class up to 53 kg.
