Anni B Sweet , actually Ana López Rodríguez (* 1987 in Fuengirola ) is a Spanish indie singer and songwriter .

Life

She began to write songs at the age of seven, played with friends in various bands in her youth and started a solo career in 2007. She made demo recordings with Brian Hunt, published them on the Myspace platform and gained popularity as a result. In 2008 she signed a contract with the Spanish label Subterfuge Records , under which she also released her debut album Start, Restart, Undo the following year .

In 2009 her cover version of the song Take On Me was used by a-ha for a TV commercial for the fast food chain McDonald’s . In the same year she performed at the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (FIB).
