Fuengirola Beach

Today Fuengirola is heavily influenced by tourism. The more than ten kilometers long promenade by the sea extends from Carvajal in the east to the "Beatriz-Palace-Hotel" in the west. On the side of the promenade opposite the beach there are mostly high apartment buildings and increasingly also hotels in the four-star segment. There are a variety of shops, restaurants and bars on the ground floor. There are numerous restaurants on the approximately seven-kilometer-long beach that mainly offer fish.

The ancient Sohail Castle on a hill outside the city overlooking the bay has become Fuengirola's landmark. Music events and fiestas are often held in the castle.
