Interclubs 2008/09

The 2008/09 Interclubs was the Belgian team championship in chess.

The newcomer Schachfreunde Wirtzfeld became the champion, while the defending champion Vliegend Peerd Bredene had to be content with eighth place. In addition to Wirtzfeld, Bredene's second team was promoted from Division 2 and finished in fifth place. Royal Namur Echecs and the Brussels Chess Club had to relegate , and Bredene withdrew both teams, so that for the coming season four teams from Division 2 were promoted.

Game dates

The competitions were played on October 5th and 19th, November 2nd and 23rd, December 7th 2008, January 4th and 18th, February 1st and 15th, March 8th and 22nd 2009 and took place decentrally at the participating associations.

mode

The twelve participating teams played a simple round-robin tournament . The number of points on the board (three points for a win, two points for a draw, one point for a defeat, no point for a defeat without a fight) and then the number of team points (one point for a team win, half a point) decided the placement Point for a tie, no point for a loss).
