Arkadi Rotstein (born April 29, 1961 in Lviv ) is a German - Ukrainian chess master . In 1999 he moved from the Ukrainian Chess Federation to the German Chess Federation .

Rotstein won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place at the tournament in Paris (1994), 1st place at the Open in Cesenatico (1998), 1st – 2nd place. Place at the Open in Letojanni (2002), 1st – 2nd Place at the Open in Bad Zwischenahn (2004), 1st – 2nd Place at the Open in Seefeld (2004), 1st – 2nd Place at the Open in Corfu (2007), 1st place at the Open in Feffernitz (2010) and 1st place at the 26th Faaker See Open in Latschach (2010).

Rotstein has held the title of International Master since 1990 , and he received the Grand Master title in 1994.

For his achievements in correspondence chess , he received the title of International Master from the ICCF in 1990 . His father, Jefim, is a FIDE Master who achieved an historic rating of 2534 in November 1959 .

In Germany Rotstein plays for SG Porz , where he also had two appearances in the 1st Bundesliga in the 2005/06 season . In the Austrian Bundesliga he played for SV Tschaturanga Neubau from 2002 to 2008 , and has played for SK Absam since 2008 (including in the 2008/09 season and since 2012 in the first division). In the Dutch Meester class , Rotstein has been playing for the Schaakclub Groningen since 2008 , in the Belgian Interclubs since 2008 for the chess friends Wirtzfeld , with whom he became champions in 2009 , 2013 and 2018 . In France he played for CEMC Monaco until 2005 , with which he became champion in 2002 and took part in the European Club Cup in 2004, in Luxembourg from 2004 to 2006 for Le Cavalier Differdange . In the Polish team championship he played in 1990 and 1991 for 1893 KKSz-Hutnik Kraków .
