Gerhard Schebler (born October 3, 1969 in Duisburg ) is a German chess grandmaster .

Life

Schebler has been playing chess since he was 12 years old. He was awarded the title of International Master by the World Chess Federation FIDE in 1995, and has held the title of Grand Master (GM) since November 2004 . He fulfilled the GM norms in the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons of the Dutch master class and in July 2004 at the A-Skanska Open in Pardubice .

Schebler is a professional player and also active as a coach. In July 1998 he got 7 points from 11 games at the Open A of the Dortmund Chess Days .

societies

In the German Federal Chess League, Schebler played for PSV / BSV Wuppertal from 1995 to 1997 and for SV Mülheim-Nord from 2004 to 2011 , of which he was a member from 1998 to 2011. With Mülheim he also took part in the European Club Cup 2008. In the Dutch Meester class he played from 1998 to 2005 for the Enscheder club ESGOO , in the seasons 2008/09 and 2010/11 for the Schaakvereniging Voerendaal . In Belgium he played for KSK 47 Eynatten , with whom he was Belgian team champion in 2005 , 2006 , 2010 and 2011 and took part in the European Club Cup three times, in Luxembourg for De Sprénger Echternach , with whom he became champion in 2006 .
