Cesenatico is a city on the Adriatic Sea in the Italian province of Forlì-Cesena with 25,971 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in the Emilia-Romagna region , about 20 kilometers northwest of Rimini . The neighboring municipalities are Cervia , Cesena , Gambettola and Gatteo .

Numerous hotels, bars and ice cream parlors characterize the town's main street. Some districts such as Valverde or Villamarina are characterized by family tourism. The landmarks of Cesenatico are the 38-storey high-rise Grattacielo di Cesenatico and the Grand Hotel Cesenatico .

The port of Cesenatico planned by Leonardo da Vinci is very effectively protected against silting by its shape alone and divides the city into two large zones, Ponente in the north and Levante in the south. There are some museum ships in the harbor.
