Civitella di Romagna is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3719 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 26 kilometers south-southwest of Forlì and about 28 kilometers southwest of Cesena am Bidente .

The community is first mentioned in a document in 757. At the end of the 13th century, the community became part of the Guelph territory .
