The municipality is located about 38 kilometers southwest of Forlì and about 46 kilometers west-southwest of Cesena am Montone in the Parco nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna and borders directly on the metropolitan city of Florence ( Tuscany ).
