The Football League Second Division 1903/04 was the twelfth season of the Football League Second Division as the second highest English football league . Second division champion was Preston North End and also the second-placed Woolwich Arsenal rose to the Football League First Division . For the two promoted teams in the following second division season 1904/05, the two first division clubs FC Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion, ranked in the table below, took the places. Stockport County had to relegate from the Second Division . In addition, Glossop FC and Leicester Fosse feared that they would remain in the class, but then received enough votes in the re-election process of the League Association to be allowed to participate again in the Second Division in the following 1904/05 season. The place of Stockport County took in the following season promoted Doncaster Rovers .
