Premilcuore is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 723 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna .

geography

The Rabbi River in Premilcuore

The municipality is located about 35 kilometers southwest of Forlì and about 42 kilometers southwest of Cesena on the Rabbi River in the Parco nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna .

The neighboring communities are Galeata , Portico e San Benedetto , Rocca San Casciano , San Godenzo (FI) and Santa Sofia .

history

The village is said to have been founded in 295 AD. However, the location is only proven in a document in 1124. Until 1923 the municipality still belonged to the province of Florence (today the metropolitan city of Florence , Tuscany ).

traffic

The former Strada Statale 9ter del Rabbi (now a provincial road) runs through the municipality from Forlì to Cavallino near San Godenzo .
