Franz Jenny

Franz Jenny (born February 1, 1895 in Buchrain ; † May 18, 1977 ) was a Swiss legal scholar .

Life

Jenny studied law at the University of Freiburg and did her doctorate. In 1921 he became a mortgage writer for the Habsburg district. From 1925 he was an adjunct of the Federal Department of Justice and head of the Federal Land Registry . In the winter semester 1944/45 and in the summer semester 1945 he was full professor for Swiss private law at the University of Freiburg. His successor was Peter Jäggi . From 1945 to 1959 Jenny was director of the Lucerne branch of the Swiss National Bank .
