The Thomson Developmental Road is a trunk road in the center of the Australian state of Queensland . It runs in a northeast-southwest direction and has a length of 319 km. It connects the Landsborough Highway in Longreach with the Diamantina Developmental Road near Windorah .

The paved road leaves Longreach in a south-westerly direction and accompanies the eponymous Thomson River at a distance of approx. 25–30 km.

At Stonehenge the Thomson Developmental Road reaches the river and at Jundah it crosses it. On the last section, just before Galway Downs , an approx. 20 km long stretch of road is unpaved.

Approx. 10 km northeast of Windorah the road meets the Diamantina Developmental Road.
