Henry L. Longhair
Henry Louis Langhaar (born October 14, 1909 in Oklahoma , † September 28, 1992 ) was an American engineer for mechanics.
He was a professor studying mechanics at Lehigh University , where he received his doctorate in 1940 with Clarence Albert Shook (Steady flow in the transition length of a cylindrical conduit). He was Professor of Mechanics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign .
In 1979 he received the Von Karman Medal .
