Heinz Sahnen

Heinz Sahnen (born December 23, 1946 in Geeste ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2000 to 2010 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After graduating from primary school in 1961, Sahnen trained as a telecommunications technician until 1965. After graduating from high school in 1971 at the evening grammar school in Neuss, he studied economics and social sciences, which he completed in 1976 at the University of Cologne with the first state examination for teaching at vocational schools. From 1977 to 1978 he did his legal traineeship. He then worked from 1978 to May 2000 as a vocational school teacher at the commercial school in Neuss, most recently as director of studies at this school.

Sahnen has been a member of the CDU since 1967 and a member of the Neuss district executive since 1975. From 1992 to 1999 he was chairman of the CDU city association in Neuss and since 1975 he has been a city councilor in the city council of Neuss . From 1989 to 2004 he was a member of the district council in the Rhine district of Neuss, most recently as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. From 2000 to 2010 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and a full member of the sports committee and spokesman for his party in the committee for building and transport.
