The tower castle Oberderdingen is a partially preserved castle in the core of the upper village of the municipality of Oberderdingen in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg . It is the only example of a tower castle in Kraichgau .

The tower castle was built around 1250 by the Counts of Oberderdingen and was owned by the Herrenalb monastery in the 13th century . From the former castle complex, the still-preserved residential tower is now used as a church tower.
