Nanofila marina is a type of heterotrophic amoeba that belongs to the Cercozoa andformsits own family Nanofilidae . She lives in the sea.
features
They are small, heterotrophic amoebas with unbranched, granular filopodia . During the ingestion of food they are pressed against the substrate. The cells are around 3 micrometers in diameter and have around six very thin filopodia. There are no flagella .
Systematics
Nanofila marina is the sister group of a large clade of undescribed environmental DNA samples within a larger clade that is grouped together as the class Granofilosea .
