Heating plate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Use of a hot plate [1] as part of a simple distillation apparatus. The heat transfer to the contents of the flask [15] takes place via the oil bath [14].

The heating plate is an important laboratory device , especially in chemistry and biology .

They are used to heat various vessels, e.g. B. heating baths , Erlenmeyer flasks or beakers . There are simple heating plates, similar to a stovetop, and some with an additional magnetic stirrer . Only the latter allow the use of a magnetic stirring bar (also known as magnetic stirrer or stirring bar called).

In microelectronics and microsystem technology , heating plates are used to bake photoresist layers on wafers .
