Helga Gotschlich

Helga Gotschlich (born 1938 in Dresden ) is a German historian .

Life

She was a research assistant, then head of department and later director of the Institute for Contemporary Youth Research (IzJ) at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR (AdW). Her research subject was German history in the 20th century and, in particular, the preparation of young people for deployment in World War II.

After German reunification , Helga Gotschlich continued her research work as director of the IzJ and as a research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin . Helga Gotschlich has been retired since 2005.
