Helga Knicek

Helga Knicek (born March 9, 1967 ) is an Austrian health facility teacher and politician ( FPK previously BZÖ or FPÖ ). From 2004 to 2008 she was a member of the Carinthian state parliament and has been a district school inspector since then.

education and profession

Helga Knicek attended primary school in Pusarnitz from 1973 and 1977 . She then switched to secondary school and then attended a federal upper secondary school. Knicek then graduated from the Federal Pedagogical Academy in Carinthia and acquired the additional teaching position for health facility teachers. Knicek also graduated from the University of Klagenfurt with a degree in “Pedagogy and Media Communication”.

Knicek has been a delegate of the state of Carinthia in the nationwide working group for health facility teachers since 1996 and has been elected to the service committee for general compulsory schools in the Spittal / Drau district since 1999. In addition, she has been the staff representative for compulsory school teachers in the Spittal / Drau district since 1999 and was elected district chairman of the FPÖ-Spittal in 2003.

On March 31, 2004 she was sworn in as a member of the Carinthian state parliament and, like almost all Carinthian state parliament members, moved to the BZÖ in the course of the split in the party. She was area spokeswoman for the BZÖ state parliamentary club for youth and sport, but resigned as a member of parliament on July 3, 2008 to take on the role of district school inspector in the Spittal an der Drau district.

Knicek is single and lives in Pusarnitz.
