Helga Wagner
Helga Wagner (born July 27, 1956 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.74 m tall and 52 kg heavy athlete started for the 1st Frankfurt swimming club EFSC .
She won three German championships:
- 400 m freestyle: 1975
- 800 m freestyle: 1975 and 1976
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , she started on both routes. With her times of 4: 47.61 minutes and 9: 44.17 minutes, however, she was far from making it into the top eight. Over 400 m freestyle she would have had to swim under 4:32 minutes and over 800 m freestyle under 9:18 minutes.
