Helge Pross Prize
The Helge Pross Prize is a science prize awarded by the Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (figs) at the University of Siegen . The prize, which has been awarded every three years since 1994, honors scientists for outstanding achievements in the field of family and gender research. The prize is endowed with € 5000 (as of 2017) and was set up in 1993 in cooperation between the research institute and the Brigitte magazine on the initiative of the Sociology Department at the University of Siegen. The award is named after the German sociologist Helge Pross . The prize was not awarded between 2007 and 2017.
The Justus Liebig University of Giessen has been awarding an in-house Helge Agnes Pross sponsorship award since 2013 .
