Helgi Hrafn Gunnarsson (born October 22, 1980 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician of the Icelandic pirate party Píratar .

Helgi worked as a system administrator and programmer for various Icelandic companies. Since the Icelandic parliamentary election on April 27, 2013 , Helgi has been a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík-Nord . He was a member of Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs and Education. 2014–2015 he was group leader of the Píratar in the Althing, from 2015 to 2016 he was party leader . After Helgi Hrafn Gunnarsson did not run for the parliamentary elections in Iceland in 2016 , he successfully ran for the early parliamentary election on October 28, 2017 and has since been a member of the Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík-Nord.
