The Heli-Sport CH-7 is a helicopter from the Italian manufacturer CH-7 Heli-Sport Srl .

history

The Argentine helicopter designer Augusto Cicaré designed the single-seat CH-7 helicopter , which in turn is based on the CH-6 and flew for the first time in 1991. The machine was then presented at various aviation trade fairs and was to be marketed as a kit. Due to the significantly higher price compared to other helicopter kits, only one order was placed. However, the draft came in Europe with great interest, so heli-sports production rights to the CH-6 / CH-7 acquired and a first model, after revision of the helicopter by Josi and Claudio Barbero , and the cabin through the sports car designer Marcello Gandini , under named Heli-Sport CH-7 Angel in 1992. The CH-7 Angel was so successful that new variants were developed, parallel to the further developments by Augusto Cicaré . The CH-7 are sold as a kit, whereby the CH-7 Angel is no longer produced after approx. 120 copies.

construction

The CH-7 Angel is a single-seat, ultra-light helicopter and consists of a welded tubular steel frame with an attached cabin made of composite materials, designed by Marcello Gandini , the entire upper part of which can be pushed forward and tilted in order to be able to enter. The rotor is also made of composite materials. The tail boom was taken over from Augusto Cicaré CH-7 . The machine is driven by a Rotax 582 with 48 kW or a Rotax 912 with 60 kW.

Due to the great success of the CH-7 Angel and the availability of more powerful engines, Heli-Sport developed the CH-7 Kompress , a two-seater light helicopter with a tail arm similar to that of the Revolution Mini-500 . Another new development is the CH-7 Kompress Charlie , which has an increased fuel supply and improvements in vibration reduction, and the top speed has also been increased.
