The Rotax 582 is an engine for microlight aircraft manufactured by the Austrian company Rotax . It is a water-cooled two-cylinder two- stroke engine in an in-line arrangement and is operated with a two-stroke mixture in a ratio of 1:50. Alternatively, after installing an oil pump lubrication system, pure gasoline can also be used. The variants 582 UL DCDI 40 and 582 UL DCDI 48 with an output of 40 or 48 kW were replaced by the 582 UL DCDI mod. 99 with 48 kW replaced.
