The Rotax 532 is a water-cooled two - cylinder two - stroke in-line aircraft engine with an output of 48 kW (65 hp) and rotary valves . It was built by the Austrian company BRP-Rotax as an engine for ultralight aircraft .

construction

The Rotax 532 has a water-cooled cylinder head and water-cooled cylinders with rotary valves . One or two external coolers are used for cooling. The engine is lubricated by means of a gasoline / oil mixture in the ratio 50: 1. It also has a single flywheel magneto ignition from Bosch . It can be equipped with one or two carburettors . The fuel pressure is generated using a pneumatic fuel pump.

The propeller is a gear driven type Rotax B or C. A silenced exhaust and an air filter are installed as standard. The standard starter is a reversing starter . An electric starter is available as an option. The built-in alternator generates a voltage of twelve volts.

The Rotax 532 has now been replaced by the Rotax 582 .
