Helikon (Literature Prize)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Helikon Literature Prize ( Bulgarian Хеликон ) has been awarded annually in the week before Christmas since 2002 by the largest Bulgarian bookstore chain of the same name, based in Burgas . The award recognizes contemporary works by Bulgarian authors. The prize is a sculpture by artist Evgeni Kusmanow depicting a falcon. The prize is endowed with 3000 leva (approx. 1500 euros).
