Helkama bike

Helkama Velox is a Finnish group of companies and originally a Finnish bicycle manufacturer .

Heikki J. Helkama founded the Helkama bicycle factory in 1905. Legendary models that have been manufactured over decades are Jopo, Aino, Oiva and Kulkuris . Today the frames are produced in South-East Asia and equipped with components in Finland.

Helkama also includes the cable manufacturer Helkama Bica (ship's cable ), Helkama Forste (household appliances and cooling units), Suomen Koneliike , Helsingin Uuttera and Helkama-Auto ( Škoda - importer for Finland). According to Helkama, the companies employ around 1,000 people (as of 2013) in seven countries.
