Helmut Buchinger (born October 30, 1954 ) is a former Austrian soccer player .
Career
Buchinger was part of the first division squad of SV Austria Salzburg between 1973 and 1976 . He made his debut in the National League in November 1973 when he came on as a substitute for Hans-Dieter Weiss on the 17th matchday of the 1973/74 season against DSV Alpine in the 66th minute . This was his only mission that season. In the 1974/75 season he came to no missions.
In the 1975/76 season, Buchinger played two league games for Austria Salzburg. In June 1976 he played against SSW Innsbruck for the first and only time from the start in the top Austrian division.
