Helmut Pardon

Helmut Pardon (born March 15, 1923 in Recklinghausen ; † January 22, 1985 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

After elementary school, Helmut Pardon completed an apprenticeship as a machinist underground. He was active in this profession until 1963. From 1963 he was a commercial clerk.

politics

Helmut Pardon had been a member of the SPD since 1946. He was a member of the city council and since 1967 chairman of the local association. He had been a member of the Mining and Energy Industrial Union since 1946, and was a works council from 1955 to 1978. From 1965 to 1969, he acted as a citizen representative in Recklinghausen. He has been a member of the Recklinghausen City Council since 1969, where he was deputy parliamentary group leader of the SPD from 1972 to 1975 and parliamentary group chairman from 1975.

From May 28, 1975 to January 22, 1985, Helmut Pardon was a directly elected member of the 8th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 096 Recklinghausen-Stadt and constituency 085 Recklinghausen V.
