Helmut Solbach

Helmut Solbach (born March 27, 1907 in Elberfeld ; † May 18, 1986 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

Helmut Solbach attended secondary school, which he graduated from high school. He took a degree in economic political science at the University of Cologne and graduated in 1931 with a degree in economics. In 1951 the doctorate to Dr. rer. pole. He worked as a journalist, social advisor and administrative manager in a hospital (Mrs. Eduard Dörrenberg Hospital) in Engelskirchen-Ründeroth. He then worked for a few years as a lecturer in politics at the Gummersbach University of Applied Sciences, where he was later awarded the title of university professor.

politics

Helmut Solbach was a member of the district executive committee of the SPD from 1947. From 1952 he became a member of the Oberbergischer Kreisag, from 1960 to 1962 he was deputy district administrator in the Oberbergischer Kreis. He was a member of the Gummersbach city council from 1960 to 1961. He was a member of the district and state expellees advisory board and from 1961 a member of the Rhineland Regional Council.

Helmut Solbach was from July 23, 1962 to July 25, 1970 directly elected member of the 5th and 6th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 024 Oberbergischer Kreis-Nord and for constituency 026 Oberbergischer Kreis.
