Helmut Stocker

Helmut Stocker (born March 28, 1929 ) is a former German soccer player .

Athletic career

Stocker began playing football for the Central Hessian club Eintracht Lollar . In 1953, the defender moved to the former championship and cup finalists FSV Frankfurt , for whom he made his debut in the Oberliga Süd . However, after he missed the breakthrough, two years later he moved to TSG Ulm in 1846 in II. Division . In 1958 he was promoted to the league with the Sparrows, from which he was relegated with the club three years later. After the direct resurgence, the club missed qualification for the Bundesliga in 1963 . In the second-rate regional league he ran on for one more season before ending his career.

Stocker played 111 league games, four for Frankfurt and 107 in four first division seasons for Ulm. He scored his five league goals all for the Württemberg team, for whom he scored four more goals in 31 regional league games.
