Helmut Tellermann

Helmut Tellermann (born June 1, 1918 in Dortmund , † 1979 ) was a German lawyer , administrative officer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1937, Tellermann initially did Reich Labor Service . Since 1939 he took part in World War II as a soldier , from which he returned in 1943 after being wounded. He then studied law and political science at the universities of Münster and Tübingen . In 1946 he was at the University of Tübingen Dr. iur. PhD . He then worked as an administrative officer. From 1965 to 1970 he was senior city director of Lüdenscheid .

Tellermann joined the SPD and from 1970 held the office of State Secretary in Lower Saxony . He held this position from September 8, 1970 to July 10, 1974 in the Ministry of the Interior under Richard Lehners , then in the Ministry of Social Affairs and finally in the Ministry of Federal Affairs.

Helmut Tellermann was married to Elisabeth Schröder and had three children.
