Helmuth von Stwolinski

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Helmuth von Stwolinski (* 1901 ), also Helmuth von Stvolinski , was a photographer, cameraman and inventor.

Life

He had already made a name for himself as a photographer on various expeditions when Leni Riefenstahl called him to Berlin in 1936 to work as a cameraman for Olympia-Film GmbH on the planned film about the Summer Olympics that would take place there. The challenge of this major project for him was to have to deal with seven different camera systems.

He also developed independent camera systems, for example for the studio company for industrial and fashion photography.
