Helvetic Action

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Helvetic Action (HV) came into being in 1934 from the merger of the front parties, the Heimatwehr, and the Swiss Fascist Movement (SFB).

The party leader was Colonel Arthur Fonjallaz from Vaud . The party fought against Freemasonry , " interest bondage " and Bolshevism . In some cantons they worked with the National Front .

In the 1934 elections, the AGM won 40.4 % of the vote in Frutigen and 11.4% in the Simmental . At the end of 1934 there was a dispute as to whether and how the party should cooperate with the fascists, and the Helvetic Action split up again.
