Hendrik Groth

Hendrik Groth (born 1960/61) is a German journalist and editor-in-chief of the Schwäbische Zeitung .

Life

Groth has worked as a journalist since 1990 and has also worked for Reuters and AFP since then. He headed the offices of the German Press Agency in Nairobi and Buenos Aires . Groth was deputy news chief at the Süddeutsche Zeitung . From 2003 to 2007 he was the deputy editor-in-chief of WAZ in Essen . Then Groth was a ThyssenKrupp representative in South America until 2011 .

Political scientist Groth has been editor-in-chief of the Schwäbische Zeitung since July 6, 2011. He is the successor to Ralf Geisenhanslüke , who moved to the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung .

Groth is also a speaker at the Schwäbisch Media Akademie. At the Düsseldorf Institute for Foreign and Security Policy (DIAS) he is the director of public affairs.
