Hennessy's was an assembly plant for motor vehicles and thus part of the automotive industry in Ireland .

Company history

The company was based in Cork in the south of Ireland. The first known mention was in 1935, when the assembly of automobiles began. The parts came from Studebaker Corporation . The Second World War led to an interruption from 1939.

The last Studebakers were created in 1953. DKWs were assembled from 1952 to 1964 . Then the track of the company is lost.

In terms of DKW, it was passenger cars such as the F 91 (special class) , but also the Schnellaster and motorcycles .

In addition, tractors from the Oliver Corporation and combine harvesters have survived.
