Henningsvær

Henningsvær is a fishing village in the Norwegian municipality Vågan , located on two small islands off the Lofoten -Insel Austvågøya in Norway is. Henningsvær is located on the southern tip of the island, 24 km from Svolvær and has 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2018) .

It can be reached by ship or, since 1983, via two bridges that connect it to Austvågøya. Due to its traditional fishing village character, it is a popular tourist destination, but also popular with divers and snorkelers. The place has an artificial turf soccer field, the picture of which was named best of the year by National Geographic in 2017 in the city category. Since then, the course has been considered one of the most beautiful sports fields in the world.
