State government Lechner IV

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The state government Lechner IV forms the government of Salzburg in the seventh legislative period under Governor Hans Lechner on the choice of the state government on 22 May 1974 to withdraw Lechner as governor on 20 April 1977 and the election of the successor government Haslauer I .

After the state election in 1974 , the balance of power within the state government had changed for the first time since the state election in 1954 . The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) was able to gain a seat in government and for the first time since the immediate post-war period it had an absolute majority in the state government. In addition to the governor, the ÖVP provided the second deputy governor and now two provincial councilors instead of one regional councilor. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ), however, lost a regional councilor and now only provided the first deputy governor and a regional councilor. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) was able to hold its only regional councilor. Due to the majority shift, there were personnel changes compared to Lechner III . The office of the second ÖVP regional council was occupied by Hans Katschthaler , but SPÖ regional councilor Hans Pexa resigned from the state parliament. For Provincial Councilor Karl Steinocher , who left the government on November 2, 1976, the previous Provincial Councilor Herbert Moritz was elected as the new Deputy Governor of the State on the same day . Sepp Oberkirchner entered the government as the new regional councilor .
