State government Lechner I
The provincial government Lechner I forms the Salzburg provincial government in the 4th legislative period under Governor Hans Lechner from the election of Hans Lechner as governor on April 17, 1961 to the election of the successor government Lechner II on June 19, 1964.
After the state elections in 1959 , the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) won three government seats, with the provincial governor, the second deputy governor and a provincial councilor. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) was also able to claim three government seats and, in addition to the First Deputy Governor, provided two state councilors. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) had held its only seat of government. After Governor Josef Klaus resigned his office as governor on April 10, 1961 to switch to the Ministry of Finance, the previous governor, Hans Lechner, was elected as the new governor on April 17, 1961. Michael Haslinger succeeded him on that day as the new regional councilor . After Deputy Governor Bartholomäus Hasenauer (ÖVP) left the government on March 31, 1963, Haslinger succeeded on April 3, 1963 as the new Deputy Governor. In addition, on April 3, Rupert Wolfgruber was elected to the government as the new state councilor.
