Provincial government Haslauer III

The Provincial Government Haslauer III forms the Salzburg Provincial Government in the 9th legislative period under Governor Wilfried Haslauer from the election of the Provincial Government on May 16, 1984 to the election of the successor government Katschthaler I on May 3, 1989.

With the state election in 1984 , the balance of power in the state government, which was occupied according to the proportional representation system, had fundamentally shifted. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) won an absolute majority in the provincial government for the third time after 1945 and 1974 and provides four of the seven government members, including the governor, the deputy governor and two provincial councilors. The Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) presented as before three members of the government, with their drooping, the Office of the First Governor's deputy and two government members. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), on the other hand, was not represented in the government for the first time since 1949.

In terms of personnel, the new state government went into the new term of office only slightly changed compared to the previous government, Haslauer II . Only Provincial Councilor Sepp Wiesner (FPÖ) was replaced by Arno Gasteiger (ÖVP) as a result of the shift in power after the state elections . During the term of office of the Haslauer III government, however, there were two personnel changes. After Herbert Moritz moved to the federal government, he resigned his position as Deputy Governor on September 10, 1984, whereupon the previous Provincial Councilor Wolfgang Radlegger was elected as his successor on September 19, 1984. On September 19, Othmar Raus took over as the new regional councilor . On January 8, 1986, Bertl Göttl was sworn in on behalf of the Provincial Councilor Friedrich Mayr-Melnhof (ÖVP) who resigned on January 7, 1986 .
