State government Lechner II
The Lechner II state government forms the Salzburg state government in the 5th legislative period under Governor Hans Lechner from the election of the state government on June 19, 1964 to the election of the successor government Lechner III on May 14, 1969.
After the state elections in 1964 , the composition of the state government had not changed. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) continued to provide the governor, the second deputy governor and a provincial councilor, while the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) sent two provincial councilors to the government in addition to the first deputy governor. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) was also able to hold its regional council. The previous government, Lechner I, also entered the new government period unchanged in terms of personnel . A change during the Lechner II term of office only came about on November 3, 1966 when Franz Peyerl was replaced by Karl Steinocher as first deputy governor.
