The state elections in Salzburg in 1954 were held on October 17, 1954 and were the third state elections in the state of Salzburg since the establishment of the 2nd Republic. The gains of the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ) were even clearer, winning 4.6 percent and four seats and, with 38.2 percent, having 13 members in the newly elected state parliament. The electoral party of the Independents emerged as the loser, losing 5.4 percent and one mandate. With 13.2 percent, it was only able to send four members to the state parliament. As in 1949, the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) failed to enter the state parliament with 2.3 percent . The first electoral community Salzburg home list - Freedom Collection Austria (FSÖ.) Failed with 0.4 percent of the entry into the state parliament.
