The state elections in Salzburg in 1932 were held on April 24, 1932.
Both the Christian Social Party (CSP), the Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ) and the Greater German People's Party (GDVP) had to accept large losses of votes in this election.
The Christian Social Party remained the strongest party with 37.94% and 12 seats, but lost a mandate and was therefore dependent on another party for a majority in the state parliament. The second strongest force was the SDAPDÖ with 25.69% and 8 seats, just ahead of the National Socialists , who achieved 20.79% and 6 seats in a landslide victory. Most of the German national camp had been absorbed by them.
The Greater Germans shrank to a splinter group and were only able to achieve 1.77% of the vote. The first-time Communists scored 2.70%. The two other right-wing groups, Heimatschutz and Independents, Bauernbund, Estates Representation, with 4.77 and 6.34 percent, also failed to get a seat.
The new state parliament re-elected Franz Rehrl (CS) as governor.
