State election in Salzburg 1919
The state elections in Salzburg in 1919 were held on April 6, 1919 and were the first state elections in the state of Salzburg after the First World War .
The Christian Social Party was the strongest party with 45.35%. She achieved 19 mandates. Since the Pinzgau Business Party, which achieved 3.68%, did not fill its mandate, it fell to the Christian Socials, who thus achieved half of the mandates with 20. The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria became the second largest party with 29.66% and 12 seats. The German-freedom parties appearing as a list alliance were able to achieve 8 seats with 21.31%.
The state parliament elected a state government, which was led by the Christian socialist Oskar Meyer as the new state governor .

2) List alliance: Freedom Peasants 'Union (4,692 votes), Freedom Citizens, Peasants and Workers' Party (3,149), Democratic representation of the estates (2,218), German Workers 'Party (2,703), German Peasants' Union (1,814), Freedom People's Party (1,263), German People's Party ( 317), Independent Economic Party (237) and German People's Association (927).
