Vågan is a municipality in Lofoten in the Norwegian Fylke Nordland .
Location and dates
9608 people live in Vågan municipality on an area of 479 km². The main town is Svolvær . The municipality includes most of the island of Austvågøya and the islands of Gimsøy , Henningsvær , Stormolla , Skrova and the southern part of Hinnøya as well as various small islands.
